Searching for information on William Lewis TAYLOR, b. 18 May 1871 in Faulkner Co., AR, Married Addie May KAHLER in 1890. Addie was born in Mexia, Limestone Co, TX Oct 1871. She was the daughter of William & Harriet KAHLER. William & Addie's children we re Dorothy, Opal Olin, Florence, Clevie L., Carrie L.(born in Waco)and Jewell (born in Hubbard City). William Lewis TAYLOR's brother was Gilbert TAYLOR, b June 1873 in AR, married Emma COOK in 1897, possibly the daughter or grandaughter of William COOK. G ilbert & Emma's children were Thelma and Emma. William & Gilbert TAYLOR's other siblings were Lizzie, Calvin and John. William KAHLER was born in Nassau(Germany) in 1843 and married Harriet (?), born in TN, died 1873 in TX, he then married Martha (?) born in AL, in June 1851. William & Martha KAHLER's children were Willie, Emma, John J., Mary E. and Gussie. WILLIAM LEWIS TAYLOR, GILBERT TAYLOR AND WILLIAM KAHLER were all listed in the 1900 census of Limestone Co., TX. Looking for information on W.K. (Wash) Rogers b. Alabama 1820, his wife Mary (Polly) ? Rogers b. Tennessee 1824. Lived in Tate County MS from around 1850 to 1874 when the moved to Limestone County TX. Their children were A. L. Rogers b. 1844 MS married G. A. Justice, W. E. Rogers b. 1847 MS joined Confederacy in 1861 as a courier for Gen. Forrest and Gen. Chalmers d. 1/24/1931 in Confederate House Austin, Tx.. Marcus LaFayette Rogers b. 1849 d. 9/28/1904 MS married Mary (Molly) Powell d. 6/18/1931 both buried in Mart, TX , C. N. Rogers b. 1851 MS, Alex F. Rogers b. 1855 MS, Fanny Rogers b. 1858 MS. Elizabeth Gordon Anderson (d8may1897) is buried in Tehuacana Cemetery beside two of her three younger children. Children were Margaret Ballou Anderson Thames (dcirca1878), James Harvey Anderson (d28Dec1898) and Rufus Anderson. I think there are no rela tions except Thameses. Also, Horace Bishop (Rev) and Finis Foster (Rev) are buried there as well. Probably associated with Trinity University. They are name sakes for my grandfather Horace Bishop Anderson and his brother Finis Foster Anderson. Would like info on any of these. Thanks

George GENTRY & Martha CARSON-GENTRY , moved to Limestone Co, in 1840's , received land there for service in republic of Texas army, they originated from Tenn. Looking for information on their dau. Drucilla GENTRY who married William R. HOWARD who was 1/2 chickasaw, William served in the civil war have his war records, his children moved to Indian Terr. in 1880's to Chickasaw Nation. Their dau, Martha Elizabeth HOWARD married Marion J. LOWERY of Cobb CO. GA. His father was John Wesly LOWERY, they moved to Limestone from Miss, and GA, Marion J. LOWERY, had brother Moses Sanford Parks LOWERY who lived until 1900's in Limestone CO. MORGAN -- Looking for my Morgan family connection, leading back to Sir Henry Morgan via my paternal grandmother, Grace Leland Morgan Morley. She was born in Anna, Collin County, Texas, 1897, died in Cupertino, Calif. 1995. Grew up in Bremond, Robertson County, and Groesbeck, Limestone County, Parents were William Henry Morgan, b. 1866, in Greer, South Carolina, d. 1936 in Texas, and Sarah Frances Brown Morgan, b. 1869 in Dyersburg, Tenn., d. 1961, Dallas, Texas. Grace was one of 5 children, including B lanche Phalba Morgan Birdwell, Nell Ola Morgan (AKA Nan) Browder, Bess Morgan and Horace Morgan, also know as Kewpie Morgan in silent films, including Keystone Kops. Brown was daughter of Jesse and Jenny Brown, sister to Maddie and Lucy. Can't find earlie r links to Morgans. Understand we're connected to Maj. Gen. John B. Looking for information on John L. HUDSON, born 1833 AL m. Mary Ann. Family was living in Limestone Co., TX by 1900. John and Mary are buried in Kirk Cemetery. Children, Lorenzo b. 1861 m. Mary Texana Hardy; Lophelia b. 1865 m. a Hardy; William E b. 18 71 m. Adella; Eudora Huson m A. McAdams; Burrell E. Hudson m. Mary Francis Burrough. John L. Please help me with information about my "mystery" ancestor grandmother. She appeared on the 1860 Limestone Co. Tx census as living at Personville. Her name was Permelia SMITH, age 49, from South Carolina. Family tradition says her maiden name was THOM AS, and her husband's name was Jim or Robert SMITH. Children listed of the 1860 census are Jno age 18,b. TX,Chas, 13 b. TX, Catherine 12, b. TX, Henry age 9 b. TX, Emily age 7 mo. b. TX. Also living in the household are Jane HOLOWAY , age 8, and Stephen P EEPLES, age 13. Stephen SMITH,age 30, lives next door. Daughter, Catherine, married John Augustus COTTEN in 1866. He lived near, the son of Abigail HERRING COTTEN, and John Ira Ellis COTTEN. Any help with these families would be very much appreciated.

Looking for information on brothers, John, Joel and Abner ROBERTS. They are listed in the 1850 census of Limestone county with their mother and step-father, James P. MOFFETT. They are the sons of Andrew ROBERTS. Andrew ROBERTS was the son of an "Old Th ree Hundred" colonist, William ROBERTS. They migrated from Brazoria Co, TX, to Limestone about 1845. Thank You.

John Pruitt b. 1811 SC married Artemessia "May" Pruitt b. Nov. 1817 Ga. They moved to Texas from 1859 to 1861 from Hancock Co., Miss. They were in Miss in 1850 census. In 1870 census of Limestone Co. May was head of household and unknown what happened to John. Children: 1. Rebecca A. Pruitt b. 1838 Unknown Co.,Ala. 2. Francis Marion Pruitt b.1842 Unknown Co.,Ala.He was in Co. D,10th Texas Infantry in Civil War. Recruited in Freestone Co., Tx. 3. John H Pruitt b. 1844, Unknown Co., Ala. He was also in s ame company as brother Marion and died in General Hospital, Little Rock, Ark. with fever. 4. Louisa J. Pruitt Ware b. 1846 Unknown Co., Ala married Ira W. Ware. 5. Look for references to Thomas Jefferson Stockton b. June 07,1891 married Stella Oates b. November 16 18XX in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas. Stella's Father was Hillard Henry Oates b. October 20, 1851 in Aberville, Alabama. Stella was the daughter of Hillard's second wife Ara Jane NETTLES d. 1926 in Box Church, Texas. W. S. PARKER was married to a Lya WAGLAND at least before 1862 when their daughter Martha Jane was born in Limestone county. I need their marriage date and the correct spelling of wifes name and his given name. Martha Jane later married a Samuel Wesle y PARKER and died in Pontotoc, OK in 1949. I am looking for the parents of Tip Bray born in 1850 in TN married Emily Piles born 1852 in MS had 4 children: Bell, Ella, Ed and Luther Tip Bray who married Jessie William Johnson. Luther and Jessie Bray lived and are buried in Limestone County, Texa s. They died in 1965 and in 1966. They are my great-grandparents. Any help would be appreciated.

William Patrick THORNTON and his wife Anna M. arrived in Mexia, Limestone County sometime prior to (I believe) March, 1888. They brought with them son, John E. b. March 1876 in AL; daughter Fannie b. May 1878 in AL; son George Henry b. 1884 in AL. Born in Limestone County was daughter Ella, March 1888; and Luther Benson 17 February 1890. William and some of the children moved to Abilene, Taylor County sometime before 1908. George and his wife Annie apparently stayed behind and I believed they died ther e. Would like information on George and Annie THORNTON and any available information on this THORNTON family and possibly family connections. Lila

James Hawthorne McLaughlin was born 12/25/1851 in Upshur Co., TX. In May 1881, in Limestone Co., TX, he married Lena Catherine Jordan who was the daughter of John A. Jordan and Mandy Alice Loven. Lena died in 1889 in Limestone Co. James then married Ma ry Aldridge there in 1889. We suspect that Mary many have died in Limestone Co., but have been unable to document. I am seeking any information in regards to the above people.
