BROACH March BROACH George BROACH held the position of postmaster at Eutaw, Limestone County from Aug 1868 to Oct 1870, when the Post Office name was changed to Kosse. James B, March, and AA BROACH served in the Civil war in the 12th Texas Cavalry, Company K Limestone County Rifles.

QUAID/KING/FULLERTON/BOONE My grgrandmother Mattie KING QUAID was born near Marlin in 1864. Parents Thomas R. KING and Jane FULLERTON(?). Thomas R. KING was born abt 1832 in Tennesse, supposedly the son of William KING and Sarah BOONE. Mattie KING marries Martin QUAID in 1883 in Marlin, later her husband and father are co-proprietors of the King and Quaid Cotton Exchange Saloon in Marlin. Mattie KING had a sister S. KING who becomes a Mrs B. Anderson of Bay City. Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching my mothers side of the family. Her father Neil BYRD was murdered about 1938 in Cold Branch, Texas when she was 14. I believe Neils fathers name was James Bryd.

I am looking for William SHEPPERD. His widow Elvira ANDERSON SHEPPERD moved to Limestone County TX from Alabama (?) in 1842 (?) with some of her adult children and some of her Alabama neighbors. My information is that William SHEPPERD was born in 1777 and that he married Elvira ANDERSON in 2/22/1802 in Richmond County (Alabama? Georgia?). Elvira ANDERSON SHEPPERD died in Upshur County TX in April 1860. I have a direct line on her back to the 1590's, but I am seeking any others who might have information a bout William SHEPPERD and his ancestors.

ADAMS, Marion and his wife Martha Jane HARPER were living in Mexia in the 1880 Census. Marion and his sons were living in Mexia in the 1900 Census. I am interested in finding descendants of this Marion ADAMS, Sr., who was born in Obion County, Tennessee i n 1827, was married there in 1852 and came to Texas in the mid-1850's. Marion served as Lt. in Company D of the 20th Texas Infantry C.S.A. and was at the Battle of Galveston. His children were Robert L., John H., Thomas P., and Marion ADAMS, Jr. I am inte rested in cemetery records or any other information on any of these persons.

STADE. I am seeking information on the family of Henrich STADE (b.1850, Germany) and his wife Henrietta STADE (b. 1852, Germany). They moved to Limestone County about 1890 and owned a farm in Southwest Limestone County. They had seven children. Henrietta STADE died at home in 1910 and her husband died 1914.

PARKER,MCNEESE, STACY (?) Limestone County Tom PARKER born 1889 married Stacy (?) born 9 January 1898 about 1917/8. 1920 census shows living in Falls County close to brother John W. PARKER born 1875 Married Lovie MCNEESE born 4/16/1881 on 14 February 1887 in Falls County. Stacy (?) PARKER died in Mexia, Limestone County in August 1981. They had daughter named Emma born 1919 on 1920 census. I am looking for decendents of Stacy who was living in Mexia in 1981. Will be please to exchange info.

I am looking for HODGES. In the 1870 census, limestone county, there is a Walter C. HODGES with 7 children. One of them is Richard S. HODGES. My great grandfather name was Richard Samuel HODGES, b. 1854 in AR. He married Mirah Lunetta TRIMBLE, Hubbard Cit y, TX 1875. He left texas about 1899 and died in anadarko, OK December 27, 1899. He was suppose to have a brother named Robert (Bob) HODGES and one called Doc HODGES, and a sister named Josephine HODGES m. Thomas WILLIAMS which are on this census. I am looking for info on Wilbur Green LEWIS, b 1841 in SC, d aft 1900 in Limestone Co. He is buried at Armour Cem, has a Conderate marker. Children: Roberta, Henry, Sam L, Ella, Hilda, Zenith, Pearl. I am desc of Hilda LEWIS BRODNAX who is buried at Cooli dge Cem. Sam (1877-1934) and wife Lena are buried at Armour Cem. Are there any desc left in the area? Who are Wilbur's parents? Where did wife Mattie PAULING die? She died between 1882 and 1890 before Wilbur came to Limestone Co. Wilbur married again I th ink in Limestone Co (Zenith and Pearl are from that marriage). STEADMAN; John Steadman was born in Hill County in 1857. He is listed on the 1860 census with his parents, John Steadman and Elizabeth, along with 6 brothers & sisters; He is listed as Jonathan on the census. Family traditions says his parents are bur ied at the headwaters of the Navasota River, which "heads" at or near Mt. Calm. His siblings were: Mary, John,Jr., Nancy, George, Anderson and Bashti. Searching for the parents names of Martin OWENS, assumed to have been born in Cannon Co.,TN. in 1815. He married Dec. 29, 1836 to Zina HOLLINSWORTH, they had nine children before migrating to Missouri abt. 1852. Zina died a yr. or two later. Martin OWENS remarried a woman listed simply as Ra Elizabeth. They migrated to Freestone?/Limestone? Co. and had five more children. MARTIN is last listed on Co. census records in 1880 living with his 7th child Mary Frances (OWENS) and her husband Simon W. WILLS. He a pparently died after that date, Burial place unknown. I have the names of all 15 children if it may be useful in helping link someones research to the parents names of Martin OWENS. Thank You in advance.

Looking for any info. on GALLION family in Runnels Co. Had land grant under E.GALLION (that has been found, but don't know location from information available. GGrandmother Eliza WATSON was presumeably visiting relations there upon her death (1878 to 1880 ). Need her burial site. Family was John GALLION La. married Sarah JENKINS Iowa. JENKINS could have been close relatives in area.

Looking for any information about a J.D. CROSS, born 3/25/1835, died 10/21/1919. He had a son George Washington CROSS born 2/8/1863, died 9/9/1943. GW was a farmer and a cowboy, lived in the area of Limestone County, buried I believe in Liberty.
