LOGSDON,LEISTNER,THOMAS: Looking for info. on the John LOGSDON'S. Moved to Huntingburg in the early 1900's. His wife Katherine LEISTNER children William, Margaret, George, Oliver, Walter and Arlie. Some of them worked at the old strawberry farm west of town. John and some of his sons worked at the Uhl Pottery Plant. Have seen pictures of these workers need someone to put names to faces if they have a book. Arlie worked for Huntingburg Furn. Co. My dad Arlie Jr. (Shug) grad. from school in 1952. ma Patrica Ann THOMAS. Her father owned the Gulf Station across from the High School. I was born in Huntingburg 7-28-53. We moved to Texas in 1963. Any information will help. We lived in the house now owned by Norm Liberts next door to the Kendalls.

I am trying to locate information on the Francis Marion LANSFORD family. He and his wife Margery MILBURN married in DuBois County 10 Mar 1867 andwere in DuBois County in 1880. His daughter, Mary Rebecca LANSFORD married a John B. WILSON in 1883. Possible they married in DuBois County. Had three children, Nellie Agnes, Robert Marion and Ralph Cosby. Later all moved to Gibson County.

Hi, I'm looking for anyone related to and/or researching the LEGRAND family and the HANKS family who were in Dubois Co during the early to mid 1840s. My ggg grandfather Jackson LEGRAND is listed on the Dubois Co archives page as having married my ggg grandmother Margaret HANKS 4-25-1845 (a *BIG* thank you to all the GENWEB volunteers who take the time to transcribe the information!! I would still be looking for Margaret's maiden name were it not for you!). Does anyone know if the other LEGRANDs & HANKS listed in the archives are siblings of Jackson & Margaret? Jackson & Margaret moved on west & settled in Washington Co, MO. In the 1860 Wash. Co., MO census (Harmony Twp, pg 154) I find Jackson LEGRAND age 34 b in KY, wife Margaret age 33 b. in KY, daughter Sophia (my gg grandmother, she married Joseph Gillman CONWAY in MO) age 14 b. in IN, son Winfield age 13, b. IN, son 'Crua' or 'Cuea' (couldn't make out the writing on this one!) age 11 b. in MO, daughter Nancy age 9 b. in MO, son Jackson age 7 b. in MO, son John age 4 b. in MO, and son James age 1 b. in MO. I have more info on Jackson & Margaret's descendants & would love to share what I have.
