Lutheran Church Ruins

German Lutherans, organized before 1753 and given this site by Lord Fairfax that year, began their church in 1764. Used as a barracks during the Rev. War, it was burned in 1864. Mount Hebron Cemetery, at the east end of Boscawen St., was established in 1844, and adjoined the original Lutheran burial ground.
