Confederate Monument

In Arlington Cemetery "The Confederate Monument" by Moses Jacob Ezekiel, is the tallest monument in the cemetery. Some 480 graves surround the 1914 statue,one is Ezekiel's.

Custis-Lee Mansion

1920s? Postcard. Home of George Washington Parke-Custis, adopted son of Washington. It was afterward the home of Robert E. Lee, whose wife was Mary Custis. During the Civil War it became a military cemetery, now Arlington National Cemetery. The mansion is preserved as it was in the days of Custis and Lee.
