Samuel's Section:

Will of Samuel Lane written 9 Apr 1771, probated 18 Feb 1772:  Wife Rebecca, part of the land that we now live on Beg. ....by other land of mine 204 ¾ acres, buildings, improvements, during her natural life. Wife gets Personal estate except the 1200 pounds the Tavern place recently sold for. Executors to sell real estate except wife's and 80 acres sister Eleanor Robeson lives on. Rebecca's and Eleanor Robeson's land to be sold after their deaths.

Deed of William and Samuel Lane to Peter Ramboe [Rambo] dated 25 Jan 1722 was for 200 acres and the land was on both sides of the Perkiomen Creek - Samuel's on the west and William's on the east. In his will, Peter Rambo said that the land on the west side contained about 80 acres.

Deed of William Adams to Jacob Schrack, dated 2 March 1737/38,  references the land Samuel Lane sold to William Adams 2 October 1731. 219 acres, 110 perches.  [William Adams was the brother-in-law of Samuel Lane.]

Deed of Samuel Lane to Matthias Kupplein/Koplin, dated 7 Oct 1734, 49 and ½ acres.

Deed of Samuel Lane to John Richardson, dated 16 Mar 1771:  201 Acres, 100 perches, "now in possession or tenure of Thomas Church... for 1200 pounds... buildings". This deed does not mention a tavern but Samuel's will mentions the tavern place recently sold for 1200 pounds. It appears from Samuel's will, the tavern was being operated by his-son-law, Thomas Church who had married his daughter, Martha.  Thomas Church was taxed as an innholder with no acres in 1769, the year he married Martha.  He purchased 1 ¾ acres directly opposite of Perkiomen Bridge Hotel on the east bank of the Perkiomen Creek from, Edward Lane 17 August 1770The executors of Samuel Lane sold Thomas Church 100 acres, 60 perches in 1772.   [After the death of his first wife, Martha, in December 1770, Thomas Church married Edward Lane's daughter, Ann.]

Deed of Samuel Lane's Executors to John Reed dated 28 Aug 1778, 81 acres and 152 perches.  This was the land that Samuel Lane had set aside for the use of his sister, Eleanor Robeson. Now that Eleanor was deceased, the executors of Samuel Lane's estate sold the land to John Reed. John Reed mortgaged 77 acres, 92 perches of the land on 29 August 1778 to the Executors which was to be paid by 1 August 1785. September 30, 1789, the surviving Executors, in return for the payment of the debt of John Reed by Andrew Todd, turn over the 77 acres to Todd  for him to take care of as he wishes. [Samuel Lane's will: "I give to my grandchildren which are the Children of John Rambo deceased Viz Ann Todd."]

William's Section:

Deed of Samuel Lane and Henry Pawling, Executors of William's Will, to Jonathan Woodley, Peter Rambo and Stephen Bowyer, dated 3 Apr 1737.  This was the deed giving forty acres to St. James Church, prepared by the executors of William Lane, as his will stipulated. William bequeathed "about forty two acres of land adjoining thereunto church".

William Lane's Will written 8 Jan 1732/3, probated 31 Jan 1732/33:  the balance of his estate was bequeathed to his only son, a minor, Edward.

Bull Section

Richard Bull sold to his brother John Bull [Jr.] 29 May 1760 3 tracts of land totaling 221 acres and 50 perches of land. History of land states:
(1) John Bull (father of Richard) died leaving a will dated 30 October 1736; John lived on this plantation and bequeathed to Richard Bull the 122 acre tract purchased from Edward Lane.
(2) Christopher Zimmerman of Worcester, carpenter, and Sybilla on 27/28 of November 1738 to Richard Bull a tract of 80 acres (this was the land that the first tract says was the property of Samuel Savage).
(3) Peter Tyson of Providence & wife, Margaret, 4/5 March 1745 to Richard Bull, 19 acres, 50 perches. This land lay adjacent to Skippack Creek and a confirmed road called Pawling Road. These last two parcels were in the Israel Morris tract.

Morris Section

1734/1736
A Petition for a Road to and from Lane's Mill, Providence to Norriton:  This road travels through George Phillips' land and begins at a road reserved by Edward Lane [pre 1710] for the accommodation of his Mill on Skippack Creek in that part thereof which is confirmed leading from Henry Pawlin's to the Church. This is Old Baptist Road.  1734 tax Records of Providence Twp. show George Phillips with 160 acres.  George Phillips mortgaged to Jno. Robinson in 1736 and sold to Samuel Powel in 1736.
