Jordan, John S., son of Arthur & Mary Etta Jordan, b. 29 Feb. 1896. St. Paris, Oh., d. 09 Oct. 1977, Piqua, Oh. My father, Fleet supervisor at the Val Decker Meat Packing Co., Married Helen Johanna Decker, 08 Nov. 1920, St. Boniface Church, Piqua, Oh. parents of 8 children. Veteran of WW I.
Jordan, Helen Johanna Decker, dau. of George & Clara Kleiber Decker, b. in Piqua, Oh. 09 Sept. 1898, d. 12 May 1952 My mother, married John S. Jordan, 08 Nov. 1920, by Rev. Aloysius Monter, pastor of St. Boniface Church, Piqua, Oh.
Jordan, Thomas Sherwood, b. 03 May 1930, d. 25 June 2001, son of Helen Decker & John S. Jordan. Tom was the father of seven children, 6 surviving. Thomas Christopher Jordan, son of Thomas, b. 18 Oct. 1950, d. 13 Nov. 1950. Tom was the delivery routing supervisor at the Val Decker Meat Packinbg Co.in Piqua, Oh. After his retirement he took thge position of maintence supervisor at Lehman High School in Sidney, Oh. he was awarded an honorary degree during the 1992 commencemant ceremony at Lehman High School. He will be remembered for his work in improving the quality of life in our society and for his personal sacrifices of time and energy to family, friends and community. He was the proud grandfather of nineteen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
