Tiffany window in Wade Chapel One of the few interiors in the world designed entirely by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Dedicated in 1901. The spectacular stained-glass window depicts the Resurrection in shimmering gold and colored glass.

James A. Garfield Monument Built on the highest point in the cemetery to honor the twentieth President of the US and paid for by contributions from citizens across the country. James Garfield was shot July 2, 1881 and died from his wounds Sept. 19, 1881 at the age of 50. From the second floor balcony visitors can see downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie.
Collinwood School Fire Memorial Created in 1909 in memory of the 172 children and 2 teachers who died on March 4, 1908 in Lakeview Elementary School in Cleveland.

Berndt, Albert E. 1877 - 1945 [Albert Edward Berndt was born December 12, 1877 in Germany. He married Augusta Nabokosky April 26, 1902 in Trinity Evangelical Church, Cleveland, OH. They had two children. He died February 28, 1945 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 67.] (section 43 lot 901).

He died July 21, 1991 in Lorain County, OH at the age of 94. Elma D. Bluhm was born July 19, 1896 Cleveland, OH and died September 25, 1984 in Lake County Hospital, Willoughby, Lake County, OH at the age of 88.] (section 5B lot 148).
Boardman, Edward A., 1843 - 1921 -Father- born on Feb. 7, 1843, married Lillie about 1870, died at the age of 78 on June 15, 1921 in Cleveland, O. (section 2, lot 257D)
Boardman, Lillie, wife of E.A. Boardman, 1852 - 1910 -Mother- born on July 6, 1853, married Edward Boardman about 1870, died at the age of 56 on May 14, 1910 in Cleveland, O. (section 2, lot 257D)
Boardman, May, 1883 - 1908 the youngest daughter of Edward & Lillian, died at the age of 24 on May 25, 1908 in Cleveland, O. (section 2, lot 257D)
Case, Leonard Jr., 1820 - 1880 philanthropist, founder of Case School of Applied Science (now part of Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland), also benefactor to the Cleveland Library & Western Reserve Historical Society.
Cuilli, Louis "Father" 1912 - 1992 [Louis was born February 26, 1912 in Cleveland, OH. He married Monica M. Lynch February 16, 1957 in Cuyahoga County, OH. They had one son. He died August 23, 1992 in Bedford, Cuyahoga County, OH at the age of 80.] (section 5B lot 13-A gr1).
Hartzell, Homer C. "M.D." 1915 -1993, Hilda R. 1910 - 1971 [Dr. Homer C. Hartzell was born March 9, 1915. His first wife was Hilda R. Friedman. He died November 23, 1993 in Northfield, Summit County, OH at the age of 78. Hilda was born in 1910 and died June 9, 1971 in Cuyahoga County, OH at the age of 60.] (section 30 lot 127 gr1). Hartzell, Homer J. "M.D." 1873 - 1953, Eugenie L. 1878 - 1966 [Dr. Homer J. Hartzell was born in 1873. He married Eugenie Langlois about 1900 in Cuyahoga County, OH. They had two children. He died November 1, 1953 at the age of 80. Eugenie was born December 1, 1878 and died April 15, 1966 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 87. (section 30 lot 127).
Hartzell, Mary E. 1919 - 1984 [Mary was born March 13, 1919 and died in August 1984 in Northfield, Summit County, OH at the age of 65. She was the daughter of Dr. Homer J. and Eugenie Hartzell.] (section 30 lot 127).
Hilands, Rufus V. 1866 - 1940, Nellie M. 1868 - 19 [Rufus was born November 18, 1866 in Greenfield, Mercer County, PA. He married Nellie McGregor. He died March 23, 1940 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 73. Nellie was born November 8, 1868 in Cuyahoga County, OH and died September 20, 1944 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 75 (Her engraving should read 1868 - 1944).] (section 14 lot 254).
Hoffman, Charles J., 1857 - 1916 -Father- born on March 21, 1857, after his first wife died in 1895 leaving him with two small children, he married Mary Gross about 1899. He died at the age of 58 on February 27, 1916 in Cleveland, O. (section 1, lot 287).
Hoffman, Mary 1850 - 1929 She was born on June 28, 1850. Older unmarried sister to Charles John Hoffman. After his first wife died in 1903, Mary moved in with her brother Charles to take care of (him) and the two children.. After Charles died in 1916, Mary went to live with her married niece and her family in Newport, MI until she died at the age of 79 in October 1929. Her body was shipped back to be buried next to her brother in Lake View Cem. in Cleveland, O. (section 1, lot 287).

Mather, Samuel Livingston, July 1, 1817 - Oct. 8, 1891 a mining & shipping pioneer, he helped oprganize Cleveland Iron Mining (now Cleveland Cliffs) in 1850, helping Cleveland become an industrial powerhouse.

Rockefeller Family Marker
Rockefeller, John Davison, July 8, 1839 - May 23, 1937 born in Richford, NY and moved to Cleveland with his family when he was a child. Started his career as a store clerk and married Laura Celestia Spelman in 1864. He founded Standard Oil Company in Cleveland in 1970 becoming Cleveland's first billionare. During his lifetime, gave away more than $500,000. Died in 1937 at the age of 97.
Ross, Murdoch 1846 - 1918 [Murdoch was born in 1846. He married Catherine McKay. They had five children. He died October 2, 1918 in Cleveland, OH at the age of 72. (section 43 lot 1153).
Ross, Catherine M. 1860 - 1939 [Catherine McKay was born in 1860. She married Murdoch Ross. They had five children. She died about November 27, 1939 at the age of 79.] (section 43 lot 1153).
