These tombstone photos have been generously donated by Tim Mannix on Nov. 11, 2003.
I found this cemetery located on Route 52, to the South of the center of the City of Ripley. The gate shown above is actually the only structure that remains of what may at one time have been a fence. Plot and lot records are sketchy, to say the very least. The City does, however, have a listing of those buried in the cemetery.

Helbling, Joseph Jr., born Aug. 25, 1826, died Sept. 7, 1873, aged 47 years 12d's;
Helbling, Catherine, wife of Joseph, born Jun. 24, 1833, died, July 14, 1870
These are my wife's 2nd great grandparents.
Helbling, J.P., born 26 November 1838, in Ripley, died 1893. J.P. Helbling was sheriff of Brown Co., Ohio. He was elected on the Democratic ticket and served a Sheriff for one term beginning with his election in 1880. He later became a horse breeder.
Helbling, Louisa (Rubenaker), wife of J.P., born in 1840 in Baden Germany, died 1931 while living with her son and daughter in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio.
These are my wife's great grandparents.
Helbling, Francis Louise, born 18 oct. 1875, died Nov. 15, 1977, aged 102 years, 8 mos & 27 daysShe was the daughter of J.P. Helbling. The only marker is a small funeral home marker, placed near the grave which was confirmed by cemetery caretalker, the T.P. White Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, O., data on file in the City of Ripley, and obituary published by the local newspaper..
Helbling Memorial, beautiful statue of an angel that overlooks the Helbling plot. The graves or located about two rows to the left. It appears that the angel itself is very old, however it sets on a new granite base, which has the inscription J.P. Helbling
Helbling, Rosa, 1845 - 1897 She is J.P.'s sister, she may have had two daughters and lived with her father in 1880. (1880 Census shows: Helbling, Joseph, 80 farmer/widower, daughter Rosa, 34; grand daughter Emma 17; grand daughter Rosa 14.)
Helbling, George W., 1871 - 1962 This is the son of J.P & Louisa Helbling. George William Helbling, died 19 December, 1962.
