| Metropolis,
Nevada was settled in 1911 as a farming district, with
the town laid out and plans made for its agricultural future. Losing a water rights legal battle forecasted the end of this community, with the final death blow occuring in 1949 when the school closed. Metropolis is now known as Nevada's only agricultural ghost town. |
