    OREGON
The 1850 Federal Census of Benton County, Oregon Territory has been completed in the USGenweb Census Project and placed online in the ORGenweb Archives. This work is a complete and accurate transcription of the original census record, transcribed by Ila Wakley and proofread by Sonya Bridges. This same team is currently well on the way toward completion of the same work for Clackamas, Marion, Polk, & Yamhill Counties in the same census year. Congratulations to Ila and Sonya on their excellent work, which will benefit generations of genealogists and historians.

    Thank you,
    Kevin Fraley

    WASHINGTON
The evening before Memorial Day, we placed online two pages (the list was too large for one) for King County Cemeteries, including all known names and exact locations of all past and present burial places in the county. One page is strictly cemeteries within the city limits of Seattle, the other is of cemeteries in King County outside the city limits of Seattle. Researchers are urged to check both pages.

  • City of Seattle Cemeteries
  • King County Cemeteries

In addition, we have placed a number of new cemeteries online since the weekend, including nine for Snohomish County, one for Adams County, and two for King County. Please check these out.

    Thank you,
    Kevin Fraley
