Katherine Moore Services for Mrs. Katherine H. Moore, 84, of Frankfort will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Moore died 12:40 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired employee of Stagg Distillers. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pat Smith, Bonifay, Fla., Mrs. Nancy Barbee, Kannapolis, N. C., and Mrs. Maxine Ray, Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Agnes Carrico, Owensboro; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Antun and Elizabeth Haller and the widow of Bernard B. Moore. Dr. Herman Bowers will officiate at the service. Pfouts Services for Lewis E. Pfouts, 69, Altamount Road, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rogers Funeral Home. He died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at King's Daughters Hospital. Burial will be in the Frankfort Cemetery. A native of Burghill, Ohio, Pfouts had been an executive pilot for 25 years for the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He also was an aviation safety representative and authorized safety representative and authorized as a private pilot examiner and instrument rating examiner. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps, and a member of the Hope Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryn Burns Pfouts, and two sisters, Mrs. George Blaney, Hartford, Ohio; and Mrs. Frank Whitmore, Burghill, Ohio. Pfouts was the son of the late Gary and Sarah Garts Pfouts. The Rev. Pat Flynn will officiate at the services. Mrs. Updike died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the Shady Grove Advestis Hospital, Gaithersburg, Md., following a short illness. Burial will be in the Frankfort Cemetery. She was a Franklin County native and former employee of the Schenley Distillery with 34 years of service. She was a member of the Plesant View United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Rev. Charles Updike, Gaithersburg; one grandson. Mrs. Updike was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Peveler. Rev. John Underwood will officiate at the service.
