I recieved an email from a gentlemen to add to a WWII project and he accidently stated WWI, I looked in the KYGenWeb Archives and noticed that there was no WWII veteran list so I decided to start this one.  This list is to honor all military, men and women, the ones who died in battle and the ones who came home.
These men and women fought for our country, some came home and some didn't, this is my little way of paying tribute to them.  Most of them have passed away and we need to remember their sacrifice for our country.
We will always remember them.

The soldiers will be listed by their last names as well as by county.  Some info has been added by submitters and some I have found searching the internet and most are from the Kentucky World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing and Kentucky State Summary of War Casualties.

If you would like to add a soldier to this list, please include:
Rank. {if known}
His/her name {last name, first name and middle (if any)}.
Town and county {please list at least the county}.
Status {died of wounds; died of disease; died of accident; killed in action;
wounded in action; missing in action; died non-battle; came home}.
You can also send in a photo in uniform.
Also you will notice that some of the pages have images at the top of the pages, if you have any images that you would like to include on the pages please send them as well.
If you would like to include anything else about the solder {newspaper clipping, obit, census info, resource value, honors, prisoner of war, etc.} please
email me.
