KATZENMEIER, Katharina Caroline died of a lengthy illness of old age and 

dropsy on Monday morning at the age of 85 years.  The deceased has lived 

here in our midst for many years and has enjoyed a large circle of friendship. 

 Her husband preceded her in death thirteen years ago.  She leaves three 

daughters, three sons and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

  The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at the house with Rev. 

Thompson from the Methodist Church officiating.  Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
