  KANOPATZKI, Hedwig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heinrich Kanopatzki was called from this life after

 suffering with a tumor (or ulcer) which opened while playing and resulted in blood poisoning.  She was 

taken to a hospital in Appleton for surgery but was beyond help.  The child died the same evening at

 10 o'clock on 19 October.  She was born on 22 September 1906 in Big Falls, Wis., and reached the age 

of  8 years 9 months and 19 days.  Her early death is a blow to her parents, two brothers and three sisters.  

The parents have the trust that their child was given the priceless gift of holy baptism and will be with 

the Lord.  She was conscious until her last moment trusting in the peace her mother offered while stooping 

down consoling her child.  She said, "I am glad to be going to heaven."  The funeral was held on Friday 

afternoon with Pastor Frank from St Lucas Ev. Luth Church officiating.
