HARRY A. BARKER DIED WEDNESDAY 

Harry A. Barker, 77, died at Clintonville Community hospital at 9 AM Wednesday after having been admitted to the hospital on the previous day. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Mar. 17, at 2:00 at the Heuer and Sievers Funeral Home. 

Burial will be in St. Rose cemetery. 

Mr. Barker was born May 25, 1878, in the town of Belle Plaine and spent his early life on the farm. In 1902 he moved to Tigerton and a year later on Sept. 28 he was married to Caroline Lamberies, of that village. In 1913 they moved to Big Falls and 5 years later they moved to Clintonville where they had since made their home. Until he retired 2 years ago, Mr. Barker had been employed by the FWD Auto Co since 1918. For many years he was an active member of the Moose lodge and served as an officer and was also active in the Clintonville Conservation club. He was an ardent hunter and fisherman. 

Besides his wife he is survived by 1 daughter, Violet, Mrs. Woodrow Smith, and 1 son Clarence, both of Clintonville, 6 brothers, Charles, Clintonville; Frank, Ashland Ben & William, Appleton; George, Milwaukee; and Calvin, Arcadia, Calif., and 4 grandchildren.

MAILAHN SERVICES SET THURSDAY

Mrs. August Mailahn, 72, of Shawano died at 11:45 AM Monday after an illness of two weeks. The former Laura Jesse was born at Pella on Dec. 5, 1883, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Jesse. She made her home at 501 M, 3rd St.

She attended schools at Pella and was married to August Mailahn at Pella on Sept. 21, 1905. Mr. Mailahn preceded her in death. She was a member of the Peace church of Shawano where services will be held at 2 PM Thursday. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Surviving are one son, Alden of Shawano and a daughter, Doris, Mrs. Dave Braun of Shawano. Three grandchildren, Andrea, Paulette and Kathleen Braun. Two sisters, Mary Martin and Louise Palmquist and five brothers, Charles, William, August, Art and Gust Jesse.
