Rev.Cornelius Saunders Lucas,born in Stafford County1845-May 1927,a servant in Company A,47th Virginia Regiment of Infantry.Lucas,a slave for the Pollock family of Stafford County,served for four years as a body servant to Infantry Captain William G.Pollock.After the war he was a minister and businessman,he had a grocery store and coffee
house.Ordained as a minister,he served until his death.  (pld)

His wife,Maria A.Yates Lucas 1849-1905 ,had five children,Andrew,Cornelius Jr,Lawrence,Lottie and Monroe Lucas.(pld)
