MOLLIE B. COPAL LINDSEY   Jan. 11, 1898-   June 17, 1983

BIO: Mollie Bet Wilson-Copal-Lindsey was the daughter of Fredrick Davis "Pug" Wilson & Ida Blanch Jenkins-Wilson, of North Carolina.

Mollie Bet Wilson's first spouse was David (Dee) Ramsey Copal of Saxe, VA. Dee died on June 11, 1932, of TB.
Mollie Bet & Dee had 6 sons, one died at birth ABT 1925.  Their other sons were Harvey Fleming Copal, Raymond Ramsey Copal, David Edward Copal, John DeArcy Copal and Willie Rogers Copal.

Mollie's second spouse, William Dewey Lindsey, died of a gun shot wound on Jan. 7, 1961.  Mollie & Dewey had 2 sons, William Douglas Lindsey & James Bailey Lindsey.

This was Boyd Copal's grandmother & John DeArcy Copal was his father.(bsc)

BIO: Raymond Ramsey Copal was the son of David Ramsey Copal & Mollie Bet Wilson-Copal.  His grandparents were David F. Copal & Susan Chisum-Copal of Saxe, VA.  Raymond's father "Dee" Copal, died on June 11, 1932, from TB, at his home in Saxe, VA.  Raymond's widow is  Florence Heath-Copal, also of Saxe, VA.(bsc)

Wilson O. Lindsey was the brother of Dewey Lindsey, the second spouse of Mollie Bet Wilson-Copal-Lindsey.
Mollie Bet's first spouse, David "Dee" Ramsey Copal was another child of David F. & Susan Copal of Saxe.(bsc)

BIO: William "Willie" Copal was the eldest son of David Flournoy Copal & Susan Anna Chisum-Copal, of Saxe, VA.  According to the Birth Records at Charlotte Court House, Willie was born on Aug. 10, 1884. Willie's grandparents were Abraham Beauregard Copal of Germany & Prudence Elizabeth Newcomb-Copal of Charlotte Co., VA.  Abraham served
as a Confederate soldier in the 44th VA Infanty, Co.I, during the Civil War.

Willie's great grandparents were Thomas Newcomb & Mary/Polly Hendrick-Newcomb, of Charlotte Co., VA.  Thomas
served as a soldier in the War of 1812.

Willie's great-great grandfather, Daniel Hendrick (Polly's father) served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War in VA.
Daniel Hendrick was born in Amelia Co., VA, on Nov. 18, 1761.

Willie's spouse, Lottie Newcomb-Copal, was the daughter of C.R. Newcomb & Nannie L. Newcomb, of Charlotte Co., VA(bsc)

 

JAMES H. GILLISPIE SR.      Sept. 20, 1890-  Feb. 21, 1968 Gone But Not Forgotten

BIO: James was the son of Washington & Martha Gillispie of Mecklenburg Co., VA.  James married Bessie Maude 
Newcomb on Dec. 18, 1912, in Charlotte Co., VA(bsc)

BESSIE N. GILLISPIE   Apr. 29, 1889- Oct. 7, 1985  Gone But Not Forgotten

BIO: Bessie Maude Newcomb-Gillispie was the daughter of Charles Edward Newcomb & Kate Copal-Newcomb of Charlotte Co. Kate was the "youngest" sister of David F. Copal of Saxe, VA.
Bessie married James H. Gillispie on Dec. 18, 1912. (bsc)
