Welcome Alaina! As you are browsing around you will find the templates in
the folder http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/templates/ in that
top directory. I have made a file manager file for you in the ssi folder named alaina.html
which you will use in the templates by replacing the filemanager.html with your own alaina.html. I have set my default text and html editors as Notetab Light, the free version, so if you try it from that page skip the download Notetab Now button and go to the second one for Notetab Light free version. It is quite powerful as it is. In notetab light, again set it to edit html with text. It can be used as an html editor but I prefer it as a text editor since our work is mostly copying and pasting. The reason that I use this is that I can pull up 100 pages in it and if all 100 pages have the exact same statement in them as in something like an email address, I can do a search and replace that item in all 100 pages at the same time. You don't have to use it, just sharing my experience. I do use ws_ftp as my ftp software and it's almost like my file explorer as well. In fact on most days those two and my web browsers are all the software that I use. Free ftp software will work as well, such as Filezilla or Core Ftp and there are a few others. You probably already have your favorites but just letting you know that you can do this with just free software. Just trying to spend a few minutes thinking of what you need to just get started and it's coming randomly so if I don't make sense, do not ever hesitate to ask me. As I said earlier, I am in Facebook and in WhatsApp. |
