I have nothing in my notes to contradict your theory. Looking at the info you sent compared to that which I have, it sounds thoroughly plausible to me. I wonder what the draw to TX was? Is there a marriage record for them in TX? sometimes, but very early on, family in the hometown would register a birth of a grandchild and the child was also registered where he was residing. David [] McFall Author: Nellie Long [] Date: 12 May 2001 12:00 PM Surnames: McFall We are seeking information on my gggfather, Robert Emmett (R.E.)McFall ( 4 December1818--30 May 1868); his parents, brothers, sisters, and birthplace. He served with the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. Military papers and the 1860 Freestone County Texas census indicate that he was born in Kentucky. There is some indication that McFalls traveled from the east coast to Cincinatti,Ohio. A McFall will probated in Clermont Co. Ohio at the turn of the century left property to Samuel, Emmett, Bertha, & James McFall, minor children of Florence McFall. Clermont County is in the Cincinnatti area just across the river from Kentucky. Perhaps Robert Emmett was born in Kentucky as his family traveled to Texas by way of the Missouri Teritory. My ggfather, Wallace Warren McFall, indicated on the 1900 census for the Freestone County Texas that his family came from Missouri. Family tradition says the Robert Emmett was a wagoneer on the wagon trains to the west from Missouri. There is some evidence to link to Sam McFall(from Kentucky), an early Indian fighter, Texas Ranger and soldier in the Texas war against Mexico. Robert first appeared in Texas on the tax rolls for Navarro County in 1849. Robert Emmett married Elizabeth Frances Spillers (born 22 August 1834--died 21 January 1905), daughter of William Harper & Nancy Jane Andrew Spillers in Freestone County Texas on Jan 18, 1855. Robert & Francis has six children; Mary Jane, Elizabeth Frances, Andrew, Ora Bell, Caroline (Carrie) and Wallace Warren. Wallace Warren was my ggfather. Wallace's son Cecil Clyde McFall, was my grandfather; born in Freestone County Texas. Cecil Clyde resided on Hopkins street for over 60 years. He died 3 years ago at 9 months shy of 100 years. He was a long resident of Limestone county, and very proud of the town. I just know someone has the info I am needed to fill the void in our family tree. [] Ogden Family Author: Sherry Poundstone [] Date: 2 Apr 2001 12:00 PM Surnames: Ogden, Colgin Can anyone help with my research on Lillian Ogden, 1888-1933? She is buried in Freestone County but possibly was married in Limestone County. She married Thomas Guthrie Colgin but I don't know when. There seems to be no record of their marriage in Freestone County.Lillian and Thomas were my great grandparents. Lillian had 2 sisters, Rosa and Mae, and 2 brother Claude and Charles. She was an ordained Pentecostal minister but I can't locate what church she was affiliated with. I have lots of information on the Colgin side but am at a dead end on the Ogdens. If I could track down a sibling that would help alot. Thanks!!! Parks [] Date: 29 Mar 2001 12:00 PM Surnames: Parker, Lancaster, Ainsworth While in the Limestone County Courthouse one day looking for a marriage record for my Grandparents, William Perry Parker and Miss Della Ainsworth, I ran across another marriage record that I believe to have been for my Grandfather for 5 years earlier. The first marriage record was for a: W.P. Parker to a Miss Callie Lancaster on the 15th of August , 1895. The second marriage record was for : Mr. Willie Parker and Miss Della Ainsworth on January 7th, 1900. This second marraige record was my Grandfather and Grandmother. I have never heard of a previous marriage for my Grandfather. I was wondering if any one would have any information about a Callie Lancaster marrying a W.P. Parker and if so, if this W. P. Parker was the same that was known as William Perry Parker from Kosse Texas. I would also like to know if anyone has any information about any Lancaster's in or around the Limestone County area around the late 1800's or early 1900's. Any information would be appreciated.
