Farmer's Repository February 1815
Thursday, Feb. 9, 1815 edition -

"We are authorised to state that Francis White, Esq, will be a candidate at the 
election in April next, to represent the counties of Hardy, Hampshire, Berkeley 
and Jefferson, in the next Congress of the U. S."

"Died, on Friday last, Mr. William Burnett, of this county.  Also, Mr. Moses 
Burr, of this county."

"OLD SOLDIERS.
The following officers, who now hold commission in the United States army, 
served in the Revolutionary army, viz:

Gen. Wilkinson,       32 years of service,         age 63.
Gen. Burbeck,         30 years of service,         age 62.
Gen. Cushing,         32 years of service,         age 56.
Gen. M. Porter,       35 years of service,         age 57.
Gen. Bissel,          27 years of service,         age 59.
Col. Freeman,         27 years of service,         age 63.
Col. Kingsbury,       38 years of service,         age 56.
Col. Sparks,          27 years of service,         age 57.
Maj. Pike, father of the late Geo. Z. M. Pike,
                      32 years of service,         age 64.
Maj. Whistler,        26 years of service.         age 58.
Maj. Beall,           25 years of service,         age 50. 
Many of these officers entered the revolutionary army as privates; most of them 
were subaltern officers at the close of the war."

Feb. 23, 1815 edition -
"Died, on Thursday last, Mr. John Conway, Cabinet Maker, of this town."



Additional Comments:
1- The "Farmer's Repository" was a weekly newspaper published in Charles Town, 
Jefferson Co, VA which is now known as Jefferson Co, WV.
2- Moses Burr, was the son of Peter Burr and his 2nd wife, Jane Calhoun.
