regional, the highest ranking available at that time for a Class B
school and he was named "All-Area Coach of the Year." At Bangs, he
took a relay team to state every year for eight years. He coached at
Comanche and Gorman and served as the counselor for Eastland County
schools, Cisco and Rising Star, and later Coleman County schools,
   Mozelle, Santa Anna and Talpa.

   See You in Heaven

When I am gone, release me and let me go

I have so many things to see and do.

You mustn't tie yourself to me in tears,

Be happy that we had these years.

I gave to you my love. You can only guess

How much you gave me in happiness.

I thank you for the love you each have shown,

But now it's time I travel alone.

So grieve awhile for me if you must.

Then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It's only for awhile that we must part

So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on.

So if you need me, call and I will come.

   Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near;

and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All my love around soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home."

But now it's time I travel on alone.

So grieve awhile for me if you must.

Then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It's only for awhile that we must part

So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on.

So if you need me, call and I will come.

   Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near;

and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear

All my love around soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,

I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home."

   To my loving daughter,

The day has come that the Lord has taken you to a better place, where
youll be in peace and love and without any pain. I didnt want you to
go but it was Gods will for Him to take the chosen on at His own given
time. It took me by surprise that you were gone from my life but never
from my heart. One day our souls will meet again and will be together
again. You were a loving daughter to me and I will miss you very much.
I know youll be in better hands. Ill miss you and I love you. Youll be
in my heart for the rest of my days. Heres a verse that I heard that
   is for you:

A name is better than good oil and the day of death than the day of
ones being born. Better is it to go to the house of mourning than to
go to the banquet house, because that is the end of mankind and the
one alive should take it to his heart.

I love you my dear daughter. Moma
