Will of Samuel Bogle
In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Bogle being of sound mind and memory but
calling to mind the mortality of my aged body, do make and ordain this my last
will and testament. That is to say I give my Soul to God who gave it and by 
body I recommend to the Earth to be buries in a decent manner at the 
descretion of my executors and as touching such worldly estate as it hath 
pleased God to Bless me with, I dispose of in the following manner and form, 
Viz. I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane Bogle the plantation that 
I now live on her life time, my Beds of furniture, Pewter Potts and all my 
other household furniture, two cows and calves, one horse, ____ saddle, one 
years provision of meal and corn, all wool and Flax in the house and all my 
Sheep and two sows and Piggs, her wheel, my Loom and Gears and all my farming 
Tools. 
Item, I will, give and bequeath to my beloved son Thomas Bogle one year old 
horse colt to him his heirs and assigns forever. 
I will give and bequeath unto my two sons Joseph and Thomas one hundred and 
fifty acres that I now live on to them their heirs and assigns forever, to be 
divided between according to quantity and quality. Thomas to enjoy the part 
that contains the house and improvements that I now live on, to them their 
heirs and assigns forever. It is my will and pleasure that my two sons Joseph 
and Thomas pay unto their three sisters, Viz. Sarah, Margaret and Jane when 
they arrive to the age of eighteen years the Sum of twenty dollars each. 
Item, I will give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah the sum of 
twenty dollars above mentioned from her brothers.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Margaret the sum of twenty
dollars above mentioned from her brothers 
Item, I will and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Jane the sum of twenty 
dollars from her brothers above mentioned. 
Item, I will, give  and bequeath unto my beloved son William Bogle the sum of 
one dollar to him his heirs and assigns. 
Item, I will give and bequeath unto my beloved son Robert the sum of one 
dollar to him his heirs and assigns. 
Item, I will give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mary Irwin to her 
heirs and assigns. 
It is my further will and pleasure that all the remainder of my estate that is 
not herein bequeathed be sold by my executors and after all my just debts are 
discharged the remainder to be equally divided amongst my five children,  Viz. 
Joseph, Thomas, Sarah, Margaret and Jane, and lastly I do appoint my two 
neighbors  Christopher Cooper esq. and Ezekial Alexander the sole executors of 
this my last will and testament revoking all gifts and legacies or  
bequeathments by me made Satisfying this my last will and Testament. 
In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed
my seal this 27th day of August 1806.
