Grace Stevens Dugger

   Mrs. Grace Stevens Dugger, 88, 114 Yard Hill Road, Elizabethton, 
died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital after an extended 
illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie 
and Eva Ingram Stevens. She was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist 
Church.
   Mrs. Dugger was preceeded in death by her husband, Howard B. Dugger, 
July 21, 1987, by four sisters, Josie Tolley, Belle Tolley, Bonnie Shell 
and Martha Hancock and by three brothers, Will Stevens, Carmon Stevens, 
and her twin brother, Monroe Stevens.
   Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Bernice and D.P. 
Braswell, Elizabethton, and Phyllis Kirkpatrick, Gray. Two grandchildren: 
Paulette Watts, Unicoi, and Natalie Pye, Gray. Three great grandchildren: 
Stephanie Watts, Alex Pye, and Dalton Pye. Two sisters-in-law: Eulee 
Stevens and Alice Stevens. One brother-in-law: Ollie Shell Jr. Several 
nieces and nephews.
   Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge.

   DUGGER -- Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Stevens Dugger, 88, 114 Yard 
Hill Road, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. 
Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Johnson and the 
Rev. Jackie Cole officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 
10 a.m. Monday in the Chambers Cemetery. Ben Johnson, soloist, Pat Ray, 
organist, and the Girls Trio of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church will 
provide the music. Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at 
the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday will be: Jimmy Stevens, Larry Stevens, 
Steven Shell, Marvin Johnson, Steve Chambers, Steven Watts, Carl Roberson, 
and Sam Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ben Johnson, Bill Vaught, 
Eugene Jackson, Phillip Suess, W.A. Suess, Ollie Shell Jr., Jim Riddle and 
her church family. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in 
the funeral home. Friends also may call at the residence of her daughter 
and son-in-law: Bernice and D.P. Braswell, 2530 State Line Road, 
Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 
a.m. Monday.
   Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge.
