Married on the evening of the 11th inst. by Rev. A. Rice in the neighborhood of
Willington, Mr. Jas. W. PORTER to miss Mary Ann Elizabeth LEROY, all of this
District.
Married by the Rev. F. Stewart on the 21st of October at Manitee, Fla., the
Rev. Jasper H. GLOVER to Miss F. Lovina, daughter of Dr. BRANCH, late of
Abbeville District, S.C.

GRAND BARGAIN IN LAND
The subscriber offers for sale a fine tract of land situated five miles west of
Anderson courthouse, the head of the Greenville and Columbia Railroad, on the
direct Shallow Ford, Sloan's Ferry, Andersonville, Pendleton and Clarksville
road. The tract consists of 400 acres of superior cotton and small grain land
of every description. 150 acres of it are cleared and in a high state of
cultivation. There is on the tract 50 acres of good creek and branch bottom
land. It lies perfectly level, is free from wash and is easily reclaimed. The
place is well watered and has a good comfortable dwelling house, a new large
framed gin house and stables and other requisite buildings. Clayton WEBB,

IMPORTANT SALE
By order of the Court of Ordinary, I will sell in Abbeville District at the
late residence of William H. McCAW, deceased, on Monday the 29th inst., all the
personal property of said deceased, consisting of 81 negroes, amongst them are
three carpenters and one blacksmith, mules, horses, hogs, oxen, cattle,
wagons, blacksmith and plantation tools, about 4,000 bushels of corn, 300
bushels of wheat, fodder, oats, rye and barley, household and kitchen furniture

FIFTY DOLLAR REWARD
I will pay the above reward to any person who will apprehend and lodge in jail
of this our any adjoining district, my negro man EMERY, and $100. for proof to
convict any white person of harboring him. Said boy is black, stout built,
medium height, quick spoken, stammers when agitated. He is probably lurking in
the neighborhood of Scuffletown in this district or in the neighborhood of Mt.

Thomas WIER, deceased, have this day filed a petition in my office, praying for
a settlement of that part of the state of the deceased which is now due.

Elizabeth, daughter of Robert C. GORDON, deceased, requiring the paper
purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Robert C. GORDON, dec'd, to be
proven in solemn form of Law. Notice is hereby given to all persons
interested, and particularly to James McCORD and E.E. GORDON, who reside
without the limits of the State, to appear at my office on the 16th day of
February 1853 at which time and place the trial thereof, will be had. This

The subscriber offers for sale his valuable plantation lying three miles east
osf Carnesville, Ga. on the public road leading from Pendleton to Carnesville,
containing seven hundred acres of good bottom land and two hundred and ninety-
six acres of upland in the woods. There are three roads leading from my house
which makes it one of the best stands in the country. Any person wishing to

The executors of the Last Will and Testament of William MEANS, deceased, will

known as the Gilmer Tract, adjoining the lands of W.S. Cochran and Capt. J.T.
Liddle; also 3 likely negroes, horses, mules, hogs, sheep, corn, fodder,
coats, wheat, two road wagons, one carriage, plantation tools, household and
