Reverend J.C. Cunningham, Pastor

Shiloh Baptist Church was organized in the year 1861. Four acres of land was 
purchased from Captain H. R. Vandiver for the amount of forty dollars.

The church was organized in a "brush arbor"', under the auspices of the late 
Reverend W.R. Parker.

The first deacons were: Robert Goode, Newton Whitner, John Earle, Johnson 
Wright, Warren Kilpatrick, and Benson Kilpatrick. There were fifty or more 
members. Robert Goode was the first church clerk, John Earle was treasurer.

The name of the church was ordered changed from Parker Baptist Church to Shiloh 
Baptist Church. During this period the following deacons served: Thomas Earle, 
Newton Latimore, James Webb, W.G. Craig, John Earle, John Sloan, Prince Riley, 
Warren Kilpatrick, Benson Kilpatrick, C.K. Grant, Robert Goode, Pete-Grant, P.S. 
Singleton, W.M. Riley, Henry Williams and David Brown. W.G. Craig served as
Church Clerk at this time.

The 2nd pastor was Reverend S.H. Oglesby. During this time the church was moved 
to the present site. C.K. Grant was church clerk, James Webb was treasurer.

The 3rd pastor was Reverend R.D. Glenn. C.K. Grant was clerk until 1904. At this
time P.S. Singleton succeeded him, Deacons were: Stafford Grant, Howard Bruce, 
Paul Singleton, Henry Keese, Jim Alexander Prince Johnson.

The 4th pastor was Reverend T.B. Williams, the deacons were: James Williams, and 
Edgar Ramsey At this time Edgar Ramsey was elected treasurer. 

Reverend G.W. Gilbert and W.L. Zimmerman served as 5th and 6th pastors, 
respectively Deacons were: Ernest Jenkins, W.M. Riley and Henry Williams.

Reverend J.J. Blassingame and W.W.L. Clerk were 7th and 8th pastors, 
respectively; Deacons were: Fred Oliver, David Brown and Ed Gaines. David Brown 
was elected treasurer.

The 9th pastor was Reverend J. D. Bryan. Rev. A.O.A. Talley was elected clerk. 

The 10th pastor was Reverend R.L. Freeman. Deacon Theodore Clayton was added and 
Sister Estelle Riley was elected clerk.

Reverends J,D, Bryan and J.D. Hicks were the 11th and 12th pastors, 
respectively. Deacons O.A. Brown and Marvin Speed were added.

Reverends Arthur Robertson and O.L. Robinson were the 13th and 14th pastors, 
respectively. Deacons T.S. Smith, J.P. Martin, James Speed and Roscoe Bruce were 
added. 

Reverend D.L. Hill was the 15th pastor.
The following church members were ordained to preach: Reverend J. C. Speed, C. 
Bowers, Rosemond Jenkins, E.E. Riley and A.O.A. Talley.

The choir leaders were: Reverend C. Bowers, Ernest Webb, Moses Thompson, Hattie 
Singleton, Beatrice Morris, Stafford Williams, Marie Williams and Mable Lewis. 
Sister Emma C. Brown succeeded Sister Estelle Riley as clerk.
