  Darryl Gene Blatt 
  
  MYERSTOWN Darryl Gene Blatt, 59, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at his 
  residence. He was the loving husband of Karen A. (Kilpatrick) Blatt. They 
  would have been married 40 years on January 29, 2012. Born in Bethel, on 
  November 30, 1952, Darryl was a son of the late Paul Sr. and Fern (Fisher) 
  Blatt. Darryl was the owner of Ratliff's Garage in Bethel. Prior to that he 
  worked as a pullover for the former HH Shoe Factory in Womelsdorf. He proudly 
  served in the U.S. Army, excelling in dog handling and the military police 
  with special recognition in sharpshooting. Darryl was a member of Bethel Fire 
  Company and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crossword puzzles. aHe was proud to 
  be the biggest fan of the TV show "The Waltons". He will be remembered as a 
  loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is 
  survived by two children, Kristi, wife of Cory Smith, and Michelle Blatt; two 
  grandchildren, Justin Smith and Zoe Smith; two sisters, Doretta Breneman and 
  Donette Vragovich; and two brothers, Delmas TVolt and Paul Blatt, Jr. He was 
  preceded in death by a grandson, Dallas. Funeral service Tuesday 10 a.m. at 
  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment with full 
  military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 
  morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.
