Died at her residence, near New Alexandria, March. 15th 1864, Mrs Mary Craig, relict
of Capt. John Craig, in the 82d year of her age. Mrs. Craig was born of pious
parents, near Mercersburg, Pa., and united in her 17th year, with the Presbyterian
church in that place, then under the care of Rev. Dr. King., Over fifty years ago,
her father, Mr. Benj. Kirkpatrick, emigrated to Westmoreland County and settled
within the bounds of Congruity congregation, then under the care of the venerable
Samuel Porter. After Mary became the wife of Capt. Craig, she still retained her
connection with Congruity, till the church in New Alexandria was organized, in 1837,
when her membership was transferred to it…
