  ANNVILLE Betty I. Unger, 88, formerly of Pine Grove and Lebanon, passed away 
  Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in the Lebanon Valley Home. Born on July 29, 
  1923, in Pottsvile, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Marion E. 
  Daubert Kirkpatrick. She was a graduate of Pine Grove High School. Betty loved 
  spending time taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at 
  the cabin and fishing. She was a volunteer at the Quentin Senior Citizens 
  Center. Preceding her in death were her husband, Russell "Jack" Unger, on 
  December 7, 1997; and a brother, Joseph Kirkpatrick. Surviving are a daughter, 
  Carol and husband, Bob Alexander of Jonestown; two sons, Dane, husband of 
  Diane Unger of Pine Grove, and John, husband of Sandy Unger of Jonestown; five 
  grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a long time friend, Bill Moore of 
  Lebanon. Services will be held in the H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., on 
  Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Hurst officiating. Interment will 
  follow in the Outwood Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. There will be a viewing 
  on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the at the funeral home.
