  Kirkpatrick, Dorothy Mae (Altland)    
   
   
  Dorothy M. Kirkpatrick PALMYRA Dorothy Mae (Altland) Kirkpatrick, 84, of 
  Palmyra, and formerly of Hershey, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, 
  November 22, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of 
  the late Ray L. Kirkpatrick, who died September 20, 2007. They were married 65 
  years. Dorothy was born January 14, 1923, in Dover, PA, a daughter of the late 
  John Philip Altland, Jr., and Mabel Grace (Krone) Altland. She was a homemaker; 
  was employed by the Milton Hershey Orchard; and was a member of Trinity United 
  Church of Christ of Palmyra. Dorothy is survived by three sons, Robert R. 
  Kirkpatrick husband of Linda L. (Bohner) of York, Stephen W. Kirkpatrick 
  husband Lynda L. (Spangler) of Palmyra, and David A. Kirkpatrick husband of 
  Nancy J. (Plouse) of Palmyra; one daughter, Mrs. Carol A. Herr, wife of Robert 
  D. Herr, Jr. of Palmyra; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one 
  sister, Mrs. Grace R. Garland wife of the late William R. Garland of Messiah 
  Village, Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary E. 
  Stough, wife of Wilfred E. Stough of York. Funeral services will be held 
  Friday, November 30, 2007, at 2 PM in the Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 
  West Pine Street, Palmyra, with The Rev. John C. Binkley, her pastor, 
  officiating. Interment will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Relatives 
  and friends are invited to call at the church for visitation Friday from 10 AM 
  until time of the services. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main 
  Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the 
  family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer 
  Society, Capital Region Unit, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, 
  PA 17110; or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 
  100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
