DOROTHY Y. UMHOLTZ 

  Mrs. Dorothy Y. Umholtz, 68, formerly of Northwood and a resident of 
Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone for six months, died Wednesday morning, 
March 23, 2005 at the Altoona Regional Health System - Altoona Hospital 
Campus.
  She was born February 22, 1937 in Tyrone, a daughter of the late 
Charles A. and Delilah M. (Hosband) Kirkpatrick.
  She was married June 28, 1953 to Glenn A. Umholtz who died February 
26, 2001.
  She is survived by five children: Kenneth A. Umholtz (Luann) of 
Seward, Pa.; Charles L. Umholtz (Karen) of Lumberton, Texas; Richard D. 
Umholtz (Jolene) of Tyrone; Pamala J. Swabick (David) of Northwood, 
Tyrone and Joy Woomer (Jack) of Tyrone; nine grandchildren and one 
great-granddaughter. 
  She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters: Elmer 
Kirkpatrick of Tyrone; Donald R. Kirkpatrick of Tyrone; Edna Cherry of 
Tyrone; Maxine Black of Chambersburg and Delma Park of Chambersburg.
  She was preceded in death by brothers George D. and Charles E. and 
sisters Ethel Beckwith, Jean Mayhue, Mabel Helsley and Betty Keefer.
  She was employed at the former Big Yank Corp., Tyrone, for 21 years. 
  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at 
the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Bruce K. Boyles 
officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. 
  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 
7-9 p.m.
  Contributions in her memory are requested to be made to the American 
Heart and Lung Assn. 501 Howard Ave., Bldg. D, Suite 101, Altoona, Pa 
16601.
