DOROTHY L. REESE 

  Dorothy L. Reese, 78, of 1302 Lincoln Avenue, Tyrone, died at 9:40 
p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Moran's Home, Bellwood.
  She was born April 19, 1927 in Tyrone, a daughter of Mordicia and 
Alma (Murtiff) Patterson.
  She was twice married, first to Alvin Ray Watson who died in 1953, 
then to Russell Reese, Sr. also deceased.
  She is survived by two sons, Dennis R. Watson and his wife Deborah of 
Tyrone and Russell R. "Mike" Reese, Jr. of Harrisburg; two 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Woomer 
of Tyrone and Ruth Wilson of Tonawanda, N.Y.; one brother, Sidney T. 
Patterson of Tyrone and longtime companion Glenn H. Mogle of Tyrone.
  She was preceded in death by a son Robert Westley Watson who died in 
1968 on the U.S.S. Scorpian Submarine; sisters, Mary Shimp, Esther 
Hand, Elizabeth Potter, Hazel Mountz, Ethel Kirkpatrick, Betty Miller 
and brother Robert E. Patterson.
  She was a member of the Tyrone High School class of 1945, a Gold Star 
Mother and served as a Green Thumb Aide at Adams School and the Tyrone 
Elementary School. She was an avid Penn State fan.
  She retired as a machine operator from Big Yank Corp. after 27 years 
service.
  Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15, 2005 at noon at the 
Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman E. Huff 
officiating. Interment will be at the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. 
to noon.
