DONALD B. HOFFMAN 

  Donald B. Hoffman, 72, of Logan Ridge Village, Tyrone, died Tuesday, 
April 25, 2006 at 1:45 p.m. at the Altoona Regional Health System Bon 
Secours Campus.
  He was born April 25, 1934 at Philipsburg, a son of Robert A. and 
Opal A. (Huff) Hoffman.
  He was married June 7, 1957 at Newport, R.I. to Susan T. Botelho who 
died January 5, 1993.
  He is survived by a sister Grace M. Kirkpatrick and her husband 
Donald of Tyrone; three nieces: Ann Brower (Alvah), Donna Miles 
(Kenneth) and Vicky Shaw (Kenneth) of Tyrone; three nephews: Donald 
Kirkpatrick, Jr. (Trudy) of Tipton, Michael Kirkpatrick (Marilyn) of 
Bellwood and William Kirkpatrick (Patsy) of Falling Water, West 
Virginia.
  There are numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. 
  He was preceded in death by two brothers: James Edward and Robert 
Marvin Hoffman.
  He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co.; a life 
member and past Exulted Ruler of B.P.O.E. in Newport, R.I.; a member of 
the Tyrone VFW, the Tyrone American Legion and the Bellwood Eagles. He 
enjoyed playing Pinochle.
  He retired in 1971 from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and 
Boiler Technician after 21 years service.
  Funeral services and flag presentation will be held Saturday, April 
29, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. 
Tim Miller officiating. Interment will be at the Newport Memorial Park, 
Middletown, R.I. 
  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 9 
p.m. An Elks Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
