MRS. ELLEN DELOZIER.
Death of an Aged Lady, at Her Home on Twenty-first Avenue.
At 10 o'clock last night Mrs. Ellen Delozier died at the residence of
her son-in-law, Mr. J. P. Behe, 1419 Twenty-first avenue, of a
complication of diseases, her illness extending over a period of three
months.
Mrs. Delozier, whose maiden name was Ellen Elder, was born on
September 26, 1831, in Elder township, Cambria county, where she
resided almost all her life. Her parents were among the early settlers
of that county. In May, 1858, she was married to Mr. James Delozier,
who died twenty years ago. She was the mother of nine children, eight
of whom survive as follows: R. W., of Glasgow; A. A. and T. A., of
Hastings; John D., Mrs. J. P. Behe, Mrs. Mark Weakland, Mrs. Michael
Hoover, of this city, and Mrs. Philip Kirkpatrick, who resides on the
old homestead. She was a devout Christian all her life and was a
member of St. John's Catholic church.
The funeral will take place from the residence of her son-in-law, J.
P. Behe, 1419 Twenty-first avenue, on Saturday morning at 8.30 o'clock.
The cortege will proceed to St. John's church where mass will be
celebrated, after which the interment will be made in St. John's
cemetery.
