Joseph Kirkpatrick, age 72, a coal mine operator in the Pittsburgh District for many
years, died Thursday in his home in Upper Monroeville road, Turtle Creek. Mr.
Kirkpatrick was born in Scotland, and came to Turtle Creek in 1862, where he has
lived since. He was a member of the Presbyterian church of Turtle Creek, Clan
Robinson of the Scottish Clan and Kilwinning Lodge, F & A. M. He leaves his wife,
Mrs. Catharine Foulds Kirkpatrick: three daughters, Mrs. Anna Bochman, Mrs. Mary
Curmack and Mrs. Catharine Patterson; two sons, James and Andrew Kirkpatrick; 17
grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of Turtle Creek.
