Written: April 18, 1769

In the Name of God Amen this eighteenth Day of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and sisty
nine, I William Kase of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon &
Province of West Jersey, being sick & weak in Body but of
sound and deposing Mind & Memory do make and ordain this
my last Will and Testament in manner & form following
viz. First of all I Give and bequeath my Soul [unreadable]
of God who gave it, and commend my Body to [unreadable]
whence it came to be buried in a decent & christian like Man-
ner at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named, in
sure and certain Hopes of the Resurrection of the same again
at the last Day.
And as touching such worldly Goods wherewith it hath pleas-
ed God to bless me in this life, I give and dispose of it in the
following Manner
??? first it is my Will and order that all my just Debts and
Funeral Charges be fully paid and satisfied---

Item it is my Will and Order that my Executors hereafter named
do make Sale as soon as they conveniently can after my Decease
of all my Estate both real & personal, and that the Amount
of the Sale be divided in the Manner and Form following, viz
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Kase one
Third Part of my Whole Estate after the Debts and Funeral Charges
are paid, to be for her use while she remains my Widow.

Item It is my Will and desire that the Remaining two Thirds of
my Estate be equally divided amongst all my Children, viz. Mary,
Peter, Catharine, William, Philip, Frank, Charity, Adam, Christian,
Henry & Margaret, share and share alike. And also that my
Wifes Share after she ceases to be my Widow shall be equally
divided among my Children aforesaid, Share & Share alike.  And
if any of my Children aforesaid die before they are married
??? then, and in all such Cases the Share or Shares of all such ???

be equally divided amongst my surviving Children, share &
share alike.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Adam my Silver ???
over and above his Equal Share with the rest of the Children
aforementioned.

Item I order my Executors hereafter named to give unto all
my Children who are unmarried a Suit of Clothes, such as
had been given to those who are already married, and that
those unmarried Children shall have an equal Share in 
the aforesaid Division with the married notwithstanding

Item I do hereby constitute and appoint my dear and Well beloved
Wife Elizabeth Kase, and my trusty and well beloved Sons
Peter Kase, & Adam Kase to be Executors of this my
last Will and Testament.

publish this, and this only as my last Will and Testa-
ment.  In Witness whereof I have hereto set my
Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written

Peter Wikoff & Adam Dales two of the Witnesses of the fore-
going Will, being duly sworn on the holy Evangelists of Almighty
God did severally depose and say that they saw William Kaese
the Testator within named testator sign and seal and heard him
publish pronounce & declare [unreadable] to be his
last Will & Testament, and that at the doing thereof, the said
Testator was of sound & disposing Mind & Memory as far as these
Deponents know, and as they verily believe, and that Catharine
Wikoff the othe subscribing Evidence was present and signed
her Name as a Witness to the said Will together with these
Deponents in the Presence of the said Testator
Sworn at Amwell, this
5th Day of May A.D. 1769
before
Wm. Kirkpatrick, Sur-----

Elizabeth Kaese, Peter Kaese, and Adam Kaese Executors in the
within Testament named, being duly sworn on the holy Evangelists
of Almighty God, did depose that the within Instrument contains
the true last Will & Testament of William Kaese the Testator
herrein Named so far as they know and as they verily believe, &
that they will well & truly perform the same by paying first the
Debts of the said deceased and then the Legacies therein
specified, so far as the Goods, Chattels, & Credits of the said ???
can thereunto extend, and that they will make & exhibit to the perogative
office in Burlington a true & perfect Inventory of all & singular the Goods, 
Chattels
& Credits of the said deceeased that have or shall come to their knowledge or
possession or
into the Possession of any other Person or Persons for their use, & render a just
& true Account when thereunto lawfully required.
