George H. Wheeler Dies Early Friday

George Henry Wheeler, Route Five, Carrollton passed away at the Veteran's 
Administration Hospital in Kansas City around 3 am, Friday morning, 
March 11. Mr. Wheeler, who had retired from work with the Wabash railroad,
several years ago, had been a patient at the hospital since February 5 of
this year.

Mr. Wheeler was the son of Levi Andrew and Sarah C. (Wheeler) Wheeler both
of whom preceded him in death. He was born 24 August 1898 and spent most of
his life in Carroll County. Mr. Wheeler was never married.

He is survived by the following six sisters, Miss Mary Wheeler who resided
with him at his home; Mrs. Ethyl Mollett, Mrs. John Allen, Mrs. Eunice
Staton all of Carrollton, MO; Mrs. Orville Cowick and Mrs. Arlie Brotherton
both of Wakenda, MO. Mr. Wheeler had the distinction of being survived by 74
nieces and nephews, 86 great nieces and great nephews and great great nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by another sister and two
brothers.

Funeral services are tentatively set for 2 pm Sunday at the Marshall Chapel. 
Elder Carl Cowick is scheduled to conduct the services.
