     Succession Robert Anderson (Drawer #1)
     November 30, 1855


     Robert Anderson, late husband of this petitioner, departed this
     life (when temporarily thereon) in the County of Hinds, state of
     Mississippi, but the Parish of Carroll being his permanent place
     of residence.

     That on July 31, 1855, he made his last will and testament.

     Amy Anderson is appointed tutor of the minor child Robert Anderson
     and P.D. Quays is appointed undertutor.

     William Pickett is appointed Administrator.



     Be it Remembered that on this the 30th day of the Month of
     November in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Fifty Five
     (1855) - in pursuance of an order issued from the Office of the
     Clerk of Tenth Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of
     Carroll, State of Louisiana, dated the 28th day of November
     instant, and to me directed authorizing and requiring an Inventory
     and appraisement to be made of Property and Effects, Rights and
     Credits belonging to the Succession of the late Robert Anderson
     deceased.

     I, Sanders D. Oliver
     Recorder and Ex officio Notary Public in and for the said Parish &
     State aforesaid, duly commissioned and sworn, did repair to the
     late residence of the said Robert Anderson decd. and have
     appointed William S. Scott and Nathan G. Goffe both residents of
     this Parish, as appraisers, to whom I administered the following
     Oath; viz;

     "We each of us do solemnly swear that we will well and truly
     appraise the property and effects rights and credits belonging to
     the Succession of the late Robert Anderson decd, according to the
     best of our Knowledge and belief so help us God"   Sworn to and

     We then proceeded in the presence of the witnesses hereinafter
     named and undersigned, to make the following Inventory and
     appraisement, as found on the next pages



     Item 1st - the Plantation on Old River where the said Robert
     Anderson lately resided, with the Dwelling House, Steam Mill, Gin
     H<ouse> and all improvements thereon, embracing 1,154ac of  land
     Appraised at Forty Dollars per acre amounting to    ..........

     Item 2nd - the following stock of cattle, horses, mules, hogs,
     oxen, waggons, carts, farming utensils and etc attached to and
     belonging to the said plantation:
