Wed. July 28, 1830 North Carolina Journal
   DIED, in the vicinity of Fayetteville, on the 25th inst., the REV. JOSIAH 
JAMES KIRKPATRICK, Pastor of the Presbyterian Congregation of Fayetteville. He 
was ordained to the holy office of the Gospel Ministry and installed to the 
pastoral charge on the 17th ult. and entered upon the duties of his charge 
with the reasonable hope and expectation of seeing the work of the Lord proper 
through his instrumentality. But alas! a few brief days, and he was called 
from his labor. 
   The deceased left a fond Mother and other near relations, as well as a 
large, destitute congregation to mourn his loss.
