1793 WILL: NC, Cabarrus Co., Will Book A, pg 73: 

Will of James Harris.
In The name of God Amen. I, James Harris very sick but of perfect mind and
memory do make this my last will and testament.
Item- I bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Harris, her mare and saddle
and wheel and her bed and furniture and her part of my plantation and dwelling
house as The law direct, also I bequeath my negro Aim to my wife during her
life and at my wifes decease said negro and her issue to returne to my other
heirs.
I bequeath to my son, John one english shilling.
I bequeath to my daughter, Fanny one negro child if Amy has any more
children.
I bequeath to my daughter, Margeret that negro she has in her possession
called Phillis.
I bequeath to my daughter, Grizzel, a negro, Phyllis child.
I bequeath to my son, Robert one english shilling.
I bequeath to my son, William, one negro, Benjamin.
I bequeath to my son, George my negro Sedey.
I bequeath to my daughter, Elizabeth, my negro Phillip and horse and saddle
at The discretion of my executors and also her wheel.
I order he mother to give her what bed clothes she thinks proper, also two
cows.
I will and bequeath to my daughter, Jean my negro Aimey at her mothers death,
and if Aimey shall have any more children I allow her one said child.
I order Jean and Ezekiel to be properly schooled. I order my cattle to be
appraised and be equally divided between my sons, James, William, Thomas and
George. I order William that mare he calls his own.
I order Thomas The colt he calls his own.
I order Houston that horse called Dick. As to The other creatures order them
to be appraised and whole amount to be euqlly divided amongst my five sons
above names. I will and bequeath my plantation to my sons Thomas and Houston
to be equally divided between them. I revoke all former wills made by me. I
appoint my whole and sole executors of this my last will my sons, James Harris
and Houston Harris. I have almost forgot, I bequeath to my daughter, Grizzel a
horse and saddle and two cows. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this 21st day of November 1793.
Singed sealed and pronounced in The presence of Robert Harris, Valentine
Kirkpatrick, William, Harris. Signed and sealed: James Harris.
