State of North Carolina, Cabarrus County

This day enrolled in Co. H, 7th Regt. North Carolina Troops, Cicero H.
McEachran, thirty five years of age by occupation a farmer born in the
county of Cabarrus, state of North Carolina and took the and subscribed to
the following oath.

I, Cicero H. McEachran do solemnly swear, that I will faithful and bear
true allegiance to the state of North Carolina and to the Constitutional
powers that are or may be established for the government thereof and that I
will obey the officers that are or may be set over me to the best of my
ability, so help me God.

Sworn to and subscribed before me at Rocky River this 11th day of December
1862

I do certify that the above named recruit has been carefully examined and
that he is of lawful age, Hair complexion, red hair, grey eyes, five
feet-eleven inches high.
