North Carolina, Cabarrus County--

By an order issued by J. C. Gibson and dated January 10th, 1885, it 
being in answer to a petition filed by W. H. Kirkpatrick and wife M. J.
Kirkpatrick, heirs at law of John C. McEachern deceased praying the 
court for a division of the land of the said John C. McEachern 
deceased, among the several heirs at law of said deceased, not 
including the widows dower we were appointed in answer to said petition
a jury to value lay off and divide said tract of land in equal value
arriving the three children of said deceased having been summoned we 
met on the premises on the 3rd day of February 1885 and being sworn, we
proceeded to lay off and divide, after carefully viewing the premises 
and carefully considering the interest of all the heirs did make a
division of said land as we thought just and equitable in money and 
number of acres, without either lot being assessed to pay the other or
others any book division as follows viz:

Lot No. 1--Beginning at a pile of stones Mrs. Addie Blairs corner and 
runs S 15 E 33 1/2 poles with S. W. Harris line to a W __ on North 
bank of Back Creek thence S5 W crossing Creek 71 poles and 17 links to
a stone and small cedar a corner of parsonage lot and SW Harris corner,
thence N 72, W 36 poles to a stone near a Hickory on SW Harris line 
thence N 15 1/2 E 100 poles crossing creek to the beginning, containing
fourteen and one quarter acres, which we value at two hundred dollars 
($200.00) and assign to Mary Ann McEachern a minor heir of John C. 
McEachern deceased.

Lot No. 2--Beginning at a large pine Mrs. Addie Blairs corner and runs
with her line S 15, E 20 1/2 fpoles to a pile of stones a corner of lot 
N. 1-thence with line of lot No. 1 S 15 1/2, W 100 poles crossing creek
to a stone on SW Harris line and a corner of lot No. 1 thence with SW 
Harris line N 72 W 32 poles to dower corner thence with corner line N 
22 1/2, E 114 poles crossing creek to the beginning containing sixteen 
and three quarter acres, which we walue at two hundred dollars 
($200.00) and assign to Samuel W. McEachern a minor heir John C. 
McEachern deceased.

Lot No. 3--Beginning at a large pine tree mrs. Addie Blairs corner and 
runs with her line N 15, E 57 poles to a stone W. H. Kirkpatricks
corner thence with his line N 65, W 64 poles to a stone near the road 
thence S 10, W 28 poles to a stone thence S 16 1/4, W 45 poles to a 
stone dower corner thence with corner line S 75, E 50 poles to a peach
tree, thence N 86 E 10 poles to the beginning containing twenty five 
and one half acres which we value at two hundred dollars and assign to 
M. J. Kirkpatrick, wife of W. H. Kirkpatrick and heir at law of John C.
McEachern deceased.
