Funeral Services Conducted for Mrs. John Bearb

Funeral services were held Friday at 4 p.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church 
in Rayne for Mrs. John Bearb, the former Ida Comeaux, who died Thursday at 
2:30 p.m. in her Rayne residence following an illness of about two months.

Mrs. Bearb was born in Acadia parish Feb. 8, 1882.  She was a longtime 
resident of Rayne.

Survivors include her husband, John Bearb; four sons, Acey Bearb, Crowley, 
Elon Bearb, Lafayette, Caliste, Abbeville and Lloyd, Rayne; two daughters, 
Mrs. Emar Meche, New Iberia, and Mrs. Gabriel Bernard, Lafatyette; 
24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

The Gossen funeral home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.
