LEONCE DAIGLE KILLING
Rayne Tribune July 25, 1925

Youth killed at Point Noir dance. Leonce Daigle age 17 dead, Adam Ramoin &
Moise Lejeune 18 are in Crowley jail.

On March 26th The Louisiana Supreme Court convicted Leonce on the charge of
manslaughter in connection with the killing of Leonce Daigle at Point Noir
dance hall. Attorney Pugh appealed on the ground that the jury had not been
properly drawn. Ramoin is in jail now.

(Note: There is an Adam Ramoin age 12 living in Acadia parish, ward 3,
district 6 (ancestry.com image # 20) in the 1920 census. He is the son of
Homere & Eve Ramoin. Living next door to Adam is a Moise Lejeune age 13 son
of Adolph and Ulam(?) Lejeune. I was not able to find Leonce Daigle
in 1920 census.)
