Caruthers, Onezime - Succession Sale, Wed., 14 Mar 1894.
1. The SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of section 18, Twp 9S, R3E, with buildings and
improvements and containign 40 17/100 acres being the last residence of deceased.
2.  7 arpents of wood land on the east side of Bayou Wikoff.
3.  1 arpent of wood land on east side of Bayou Wikoff in Robert's Cove.
4.  5 cows and calves, 2 heifers, one creole horse, 1 lot of hogs, 1 lot of
chickens, 4 beds and bedding, 2 armoirs, 1 safe, 1 singer sewing machine, 1
dining table, 10 chairs, 1 clock, 1 lot pots, dishes, jars, nives, forks and

Levy, Albert M. - vs. Edward Hoffpauir - Sheriff's Sale, Sat., 17 Mar 1894.  That
certain tract or parcel of land situated on the west bank of Bayou Queue de
Tortue, and described as lot No. 1 or fractional NE 1/4 of sec 30, Twp 10S, R2E,
together with all the improvements theron. (24)

Leizian, Theodore - vs. John Deitz.  Whitehouse news.  A large crowd from
Cartville attended the justice court held at Millerville last Friday to hear the
trial of the case of Theodore Leizian vs. John Deitz, in which Leizian claimed
$8.00 damages for the alledged killing of one of his hogs by Deitz.  Justice
Belomie gave judgment in favor of defendant.  P. S. Pugh, of Crowley, conducted
the case for Deitz. (24)

Miller, Polastio - died on the 8th inst. after a severe illness.  He left a wife
and one child.  He was buried the next day in the cemetery near here.  Whitehouse

Chachere, Aaron - who is working at his father's (T. C.) sawmill, left for
Prud'homme Saturday and returned Monday.  He will move his family here in about
10 days.  Whitehouse news. (25)

Hansicker, Rachel A. - Deceased, Succession Sale, Wed., 21 Mar 1894.  Sale to be
at residence of W. O. Chambers, in Crowley.  Lots 7 & 8 in block No. 16, Town of
Crowley with improvements thereon, 4 mules, 1 old wagon, 1 old McCormick binder,

Eunice - There is some misunderstanding regarding the future town of Eunice on
the Midland Branch.  It has been reliably reported in our neighborhood that the
town of Eunice would be in Prairie Hayes at the Jewett place.  While we always
suspected it would be in Faquetaique.  Will soneone enlighten us? Fabacher news.

Courville, H. - and Prof. R. O. Hardey went to Millerville Saturday week to
attend a law suit between J. H. Fabacher vs. Mayo and H. Courville for a store
account.  Judge Bellomie rendered judgment against plaintiff Fabacher.  Prof.
Hardey went as a witness in the case.  Fabacher news. (27)

Primeaux, Lessin - Succession Notice.  Batile Lavergne, widow of Lessin Primeaux,
applied to be appointed administrator of the succession.  (27)
