Nelson Co. Will Book F p. 250 
8 Sep 1827  Caroline COX of the County of Nelson, Being sick of the sickness 
whereof she died at the dwelling house of her Father, James COX of the said 
County, did make and declare her last will & testament noncupative in there 
or words of the like substance (that is) I give and bequeath unto my sisters 
Laura Ann and Martha COX and my brothers George Washington COX, my black Girl 
Dilsey and all other property that is or hereafter may be coming to me but it 
is my wish that my beloved Father and Mother James COX and Mary COX shall 
enjoy the benefit of said property during their natural lives which property 
I do leave in trust to my brother Gabriel COX and Peter SWEETS or my brother 
David H. COX and Peter SWEETS or any two of them.  These words or to the like 
effect the said Caroline COX declared in presence of subscribers with the 
intention that the same should be her last will and Testament whereof she 
devised them to hear Testimony which we reduced to writing the next morning.
