Bullitt County Will Book C p. 535
In the name of God men, I Thomas STALLINGS jun. of the County of Bullitt and 
State of Kentucky knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the 
time  thereof and being of sound  and perfect mind and memory blessed be 
Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament 
in the manner and form following that is to say.  

First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth STALLINGS the tract 
of land whereon I now live together with all and singular the appurtenances 
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining during her life.

2nd I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth STALLINGS all the 
household and kitchen furniture Farming utensils and Stock of every kind that 
I may depart this life ceased or possessed of forever and at her decease the 
power and privilege to give and bequeath the same to whoever she may think 
proper.

3rd I give and bequeath to my nephew Henry STALLINGS (son of Jeremiah 
STALLINGS) the tract of land where I now live after the decease of myself and 
my wife Elizabeth STALLINGS.  But should my said Nephew Henry STALLINGS 
depart this life before myself and wife then and in that case I bequeath the 
said Tract of land unto the two daughters of Jeremiah STALLINGS, Martha 
STALLINGS and Eliza STALLINGS.

4th I do hereby nominate and appoint Benjamin W. RIDGEWAY Sole Executor to 
this my last will and Testament and request the favor of him to act as such.  
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12 day of July 
One thousand Eight Hundred and forty five.

On the motion of Benjamin W. RIDGEWAY admor. of the estate of Fountain STALLINGS 
dec’d.   Ordered that Thomas SIMMONS, Wm. W. (or possibly H. ) SIMMONS (or W.) Samuel 
STALLINGS, and Richard JAMES or any three being first duly sworn be and they are 
hereby appointed appraisors to appraise in current money the personal estate and 
slaves if any of said decedent and make report thereof to Court.
