Bullitt Co Will Book A p. 466
In the name of God, Amen, I Samuel STALLINGS of the County of Bullitt and State of 
Kentucky being low in health and much indesposed in Body but of Sound mind & memory 
and understanding do make and Ordain this my last Will and testament in the manner and 
form that is to Say after all my Just debts and Funeral expenses is Justly and 
Honestly paid and With respect to my property that god has blest me With I dispose of 
in the following manner towit:

I give and bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah STALLINGS all my land and Farm, one Negro 
Woman named Fillis, one horse, two Cows, Two Beds and furniture Cupboard and its 
furniture and kitchen furniture and the remaining part of my Estate both real and 
Personal to be equally divided amongst all my Childring  Henry STALLINGS, Ann BISHOP, 
John STALLINGS, Sam P. STALLINGS Jr., William STALLINGS, Sarah BRASHEAR and Thomas 
STALLINGS and that part of my estate I Bequeath to my Wife also to be equally divided 
amongst all my childring at her Death I hereby  Anominate (?) appoint Sam’l STALLINGS 
Jr. and Henry STALLINGS both of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky Executors of this 
my Last Will and testament hereby re---king (must be some spelling of relinquishing 
but I could not make out all the letters) all former Wills by me made in Witness 
Whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Eleventh day of April 
1822.

Bullitt Co. KY Will Book C p. 535
In the name of God Amen I THOMAS STALLINGS  jun. of the County of Bullitt and State of 
Kentucky Knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and 
being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the Same do 
make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following that 
is to Say First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife ELIZABETH STALLINGS the tract 
of land whereon I now live together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto 
belonging or in anywise appertaining during her life.

2nd I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife ELIZABETH STALLINGS all the household and 
Kitchen furniture Farming utensils and Stock of every Kind that I may depart this life 
ceased or possessed of forever and at her decease the power and privilege to give and 
bequeath the same to whomever she may think proper.

3rd I give and bequeath to my nephew HENRY STALLINGS (son of JEREMIAH STALLINGS) the 
tract of land whereon I now live after the decease of myself and my wife ELIZABETH 
STALLINGS.  But should my said Nephew HENRY STALLINGS depart this life before myself 
and wife then and in that case I bequeath the said Tract of land unto the two 
daughters of JEREMIAH STALLINGS, MARTHER STALLINGS and ELIZA STALLINGS.  

4th I do hereby nominate and appoint BENJAMIN W. RIDGWAY Sole Executor to this my last 
will and Testament and request the favor of him to act as such.  In Witness whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12 day of July One thousand Eight Hundred and 
forty five.

Can anyone tell me who this Elizabeth (the widow) is?  a Thomas Stallings married  
Elizabeth BRASHEAR 19 Nov  1829  Bullitt Co. and Elizabeth JAMES 8 Nov 1831 Bullitt 
Co.  (same Thomas 2 Elizabeths?)  

6 Sep 1847 William RIDGWAY m. Elizabeth STALLINGS "widow of Thomas STALLINGS"dec'd in 
Bullitt Co.   So was she once Elizabeth JAMES or born Elizabeth BRASHEAR?  The 
Ridgway/Stallings marriage was performed by James AUGUSTUS, Methodist minister.

Jeremiah STALLINGS m. Anney BISHOP 24 Feb 1829 Bullitt Co. KY and then late in life - 
15 Aug 1877 at age 72 years married Mary Jane STALLINGS.  Anybody know whose widow she 
was?  She was 42 years old at the time of the marriage.
