Book LLLL Muscogee 5-13 districts
All surveys were by Thomas W. Bacon. Reported Dec
22, 1826. All chain bearers were T. Albritton and
John Bell.
Some on this list were "granted" and I believe this
meant the original drawer failed to pay and register
the drawn land. You can see a pattern of those who
received the grants.
Many of these "drawers" did not live on their land,
but sold it to others.
Remember that these originally were in handwriting,
so I may have misread some of the names. (And of
course spelling was not always consistent at that
time either)
District 12 - originally Muscogee -- at one time
Marion -- now Taylor County. Compare the Marion Co 1830-1850 census.
Note have been added from later deeds. Check out the
Taylor County and Marion County Deeds on-line.
1st number is 2nd District (Muscogee Original)
2nd number is Land District (12th)
3rd number is Land Lot number
The remaining information gives the Capt. District the
drawer was living in with the county where he lived.
Twelfth District - Talbot Co (became Taylor)

Information gives the Captain's District in the County in which the person was living at the time of the drawing.
