Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., December 12, 2002
Sarah “Floy” Barnes Davis, 77, of Kingston, GA, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 
2002, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born in Rockmart, she had 
lived in Kingston since 1955 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. 
Davis and her husband owned several businesses in Rockmart including D&F 
Chevrolet and a florist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Joe 
Davis. Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Davis Bowen of Knoxville; 
grandchild, Sarah Rachel Bowen of Knoxville; nieces, Judy Barnes Watson, and 
Janice Barnes Nelson; nephew, Thomas Neal Barnes. The funeral was held in the 
Chapel of Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002. Rev. C. Ray Watson 
officiated. Graveside services were scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at 
1 p.m. in Rosehill Cemetery, Rockmart. Brown Funeral Home of Kingston, GA, was
